Department store VMD design

This was a design proposal for the 2008 fall season display design for "Say Department Store" in Daejeon, Korea. To reflect the weather and atmosphere of the fall, the main design components include autumn leaves, the sky, wind, and rain. The proposal includes the design of the store, banners, column decorations, central ceiling piece, and show window. For the central ceiling piece strings and fabric of golden orange color were used. The strings and the fabric are attached to the ceiling and are allowed to move as air flows. This represents the falling of autumn leaves. The show window design also uses the strings to create a backdrop for the display and creates the feeling of autumn rain. The shape of oriental paper umbrellas was imposed onto the backdrop.
